Black Sheep Squadron TV Series Episode Guide
(aka "Baa, Baa Black Sheep")
This page lists information about the 1970s television series "Baa,
Baa Black Sheep" -- which was later titled "The Black Sheep Squadron." This
WWII-based TV series was inspired by legendary Marine Major "Pappy Boyington"
and his squadron of Corsair aces.

In World War II, Marine Corps Major Greg Boyington, nicknamed
"Pappy" because of his advanced age for a fighter pilot, collected a squadron of
misfits and screwballs who became the terrors of the South Pacific. These fighter pilots
were known as "The Black Sheep." The squadron had a dog that was a Bull Terrier
named "Meatball."
